It has been a few hectic weeks on fairs in Paris, London, Amsterdam and Stockholm. And today we are off to The Big Apple for the New York Gift Fair. We hope to see you at Stand No. 3386, 3387, 3486.

FORMEX - STOCKHOLM

Just returned from Stockholm - FORMEX fair. It was the first time we participated at this fair, and we felt a great responce from our Swedish neighbours! Thanks to all of you who came to see us at our stand!

Yesterday we went to the printers to start up the production of the new Spring/Summer 2011 Newspaper. You are more than welcome to browse through the Newspapers at one of the forthcoming fairs or on the website from January 18.

WORKING LATE

It's that time of year again. On tuesday we are sending the SS11 Catalogue off to the printers. So yesterday we stayed up late at the Studio working on the catalogue all together.

GLASS BIRDS

The inspiration for the glass birds created by Iittala’s newest glass designer, Swedish Matti Klenell, came from a magpie. These birds are well-known for stealing jewellery and other shiny objects and hiding them in their nests. Klenell wanted to incorporate the same idea of hiding something into his new pieces.
