At "TRENDCLUB" at the Formland Fair, Anette Eckmann (Eckmann Alive) and her wonderful team creates an inspiring area, where they pick out a number of products that they believe will be "trendy" for the coming season. It all serves as inspiration for show-owners to find new products for their shops. We were lucky to have a great number of products picked out for the trend area (...juhuu) - see some of it here. Yesterday Trine and Mette teamed up with a carpenter and went on a trip to Copenhagen to build a new shop-in-shop at the Danish department store Magasin. If you ever pop by, we're on the 3rd floor... We hope to see you there.
Thanks to Rasmus Robert (visit his blog) and Martin from our ferm LIVING team we managed to get a stand completely covered in birch plywood at the Formland fair. Thought it would be fun to share theese pictures with two hard working men!
Now - we are Almost there... Do you like our new display system? This is our prototype, but great to work with, and please don't mind us saying - "We love the look of it!" A look from outside the stand.
A lot of things are going on at the moment. Right now we are preparing for the Formland Fair in Herning, which will open tomorrow at 9.00. Here's how the stand looked like before we put in any of our new SS10 products.
Friday night we went to see the new exhibition at Galleri Nicolai Wallner, Copenhagen.
Combining sculpture and installation with architecture and technology, Jeppe Hein sets up a dialogue between work, viewer and site. Like other of Hein's work the particular installation for Milieu Social involves the physical presence of the viewer set against a pattern of minimal forms.
Milieu Social presents two rooms, one containing bicycle and the other a large mobile consisting of mirrored disks suspended from the ceiling. The two parts of the installation are connected by simple but ingenious machinery that allows the viewer to animate the mobile by moving the pedals of the bicycle. Each of the mirrors in the mobile presents new views of the visitors caught in the middle of the seamless gallery space. Surrounded by mirrors, you become at once actor and audience, viewer and viewed, and your reflected image is simultaneously fractured and multiplied. January 29 - March 20 2010
